It is a pleasure and a great honour for our Federation to host the 2009 European Boys Team Championship.

Thanks to Golfclub De Pan in Bosch en Duin this championship is taking place on one of the best and most challenging courses in Holland.

European amateur championships are important international matches and the best teams undoubtedly will produce talents for the professional tours, inspiring others to once reach the same level. This is essential for the promotion of golf, but let us not forget that the spirit of the game must be the everlasting positive result of any tournament.

May all the players feel at home in Holland and play their best game and if not winning, be happy with the experience, new friendships and unforgettable memories!

Ronald Pfeiffer
President of the Netherlands Golf Federation

The members of our Club most cordially welcome the players, the officials and supporters to the 2009 European Boys Championship. We would like to express our appreciation to the Executive Committee of the Netherlands Golf Federation that we have been given the honour to organize this championship.

We expect a week with excellent playing conditions and hopefully excellent weather. Our greenkeeping staff has worked very hard to get the course in the best possible condition. I would also like to thank all volunteers of our Golf Club. A huge amount of time and effort will be put in by more than 100 people to make this championship possible and successful. We trust that everyone will enjoy their visit to the Netherlands.

We wish all who are involved a very enjoyable week with excellent golf.

Maarten van Nieuwenhuyzen
President of U.G.C. 'De Pan'

It is a great honour for me to be among those welcoming the teams, officials and supporters to the 29th European Boys Team Championship.

I would like to convey my sincere thanks to the Netherlands Golf Federation for offering to host this event and to the members of Golfclub de Pan for allowing us the exclusive use of their fine course.

This Championship is a very important event in that it brings together many of the most talented amateur men golfers in Europe and I am sure that we shall see some excellent golf played here this week.

In the hope that all players have much pleasure and success in this year’s European Boys Team Championship, I wish you all the best of luck and may the best team win !
